Time has a way of moving fast without us realizing it.
It's already the end of the school year and this project, yet it feels like I have not been doing it that long. Along the way I have gotten to know a truly incredible man who has done amazing service for this country. And had it not been for this project, there's a chance I would have never gotten to know this man. I am truly thankful for our friendship; he refers to me as the son he never had. In the words of this man I have learned to never get old. I have thoroughly enjoyed the quality time I have spent with him, even though it may take a lot of gas and time to see him. I have no regrets and would do this all over without a doubt.
Did I meet my goal? This has been something of topic as of recent; post my presentation. I believe I should do some explaining...
When I held my interview (posted a couple weeks ago) I asked this man if he thought that there was a possibility for a program, Adopt-a-Vet, to work and be successful out at his home. He answered no because people were not friendly there. I believe I did not explain what I was asking well enough to him and as a result I included his answer in my presentation. To my alarm, he started talking about how great of an idea it was to have a program. Some might refer to this as a senior moment ;)
With this being said, I will be visiting him tomorrow and plan on going over what he thinks on the idea. If it turns out we can make it work, then I will work hard at getting it running. If not a need, them I still plan on visiting him, despite the fact that it will not be counted as part of my grade. He has mentioned he does not know what he will do this summer and imagines he will be very bored with no college classes. So, I plan on visiting him a bit more often and going out to dinner and such things.
For my few readers out there, thank you for sticking with me.
Have an amazing summer!
God bless

Sounds like a "win-win" to me! This has been an incredible project, Gabe, very heartfelt, very personal, and very important! If there is anything I can do to help you make a program work, let me know. I'm up for it.
